چکیده

Introduction: Aedes mosquitoes are responsible for transmitting various life-threatening diseases all over the world and created a burden to society. Control of mosquito vectors is key challenge avoid disease transmission. In this regard, present work focused utilize agronomical waste Solanum lycopersicum leaf extracts evaluate larvicidal activity against aegypti.
Methods: The qualitative quantitative screening S. were carried out. different concentrations assessed 3rd instar Ae. aegypti determine morphological effects. chemical constituents analysed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectroscopy (GC-MS).
Results: preliminary phytochemical revealed presence alkaloids, saponins, phenols flavonoids. methanol extract exhibited strong at 48h treatment an LC50 value 20.323mg/ml. changes that abnormal movement coiling treated larvae 24h. Furthermore, severe damage was noticed in digestive respiratory tract 48h, later on complete mortality observed. GC-MS analysis showed such as phytol acetate (42.66%), neophytadiene (29.38%) other minor compounds.
Conclusion: Based results, it can be concluded methanolic could alternative source control further investigation strongly suggested order utilise many disease-endemic areas.
